A neutral umber-grey field gives the centrally gathered bouquet immediate presence. Yellow, coral red, blue, white and deep violet flowers form a vivid but controlled chromatic centre. Thick, directional strokes build petals and foliage with an almost relief-like surface. A reaching stem opens the composition to the left, the clustered blooms sustain its rhythm to the right, and the dark green vessel gathers the weight below. Rather than botanical precision, the painting relies on colour, pressure and movement to convey the vitality of flowers in full bloom.
